Default Halloween Art Contest Deadline Extension

We've received a report that a couple players have had issues sending Halloween Art Contest entries to [email protected]. We had our IT Team on it to resolve the issues as quickly as possible. All told, there was a one hour window during which we were unable to receive mail. Because of this, we will extend the deadline. Players now have until 5:00pm Pacific time to submit their art contest submission.

We're sorry about all the inconvenience, consternation, and confusion caused. Looking forward to seeing those art contest entries!

We're giving people till the end of the day to ensure that mail that has already been sent to us during that 1 hour window of downtime has time to get routed through people's mail servers.

If I were to fix up my entry a little more and resend it, would it replace my previous? Photoshop was being buggy while I was putting my photos together, so I had to use gimp instead, which I have practically no experience with.

Can we know when that window was? So those of us that submitted can be sure our entries were received.

i think you can just resend your works, noting that it's the improved one and/or resent due to doubts about it getting when the mail was unavailable. anet are people, they can read and understand things ;p

If your email got bounced back to you, you hit that window. If you did not get a bounce back you should be fine. From the sounds of the thread in Nolani it was shortly before the original closing time.

Good to know. So there was no reply to anyone when your submission was properly received? I wasn't sure if I should be waiting on a "Thanks for your entry" e-mail or something.

I sent in my entry at 10:30am on Friday and my sister-in-law sent in hers at 11:45am. I checked my email an hour later at yahoo and all was fine. I checked it again at 4pm and that is when I found it returned, so I sent my back again and then called her on the cell phone cuz she was out, got her info, and sure enough, I had to send hers in again too. Just checked again, 18 hours later and all is well. Wow... I almost died in real life this time with no rez shrine. I had a bad feeling all my work was going to be for nothing so I sent a copy of the email to my myself just in case I had to prove I sent it in legitimately before 12pm and something went wrong. Now I know why I always wear a belt with my susupenders... you never know when you are going to need backup.

Nope, there is no "Thanks for your entry" email. Also if you try requesting read receipts with your email program that doesn't work.

Sit and wait time. :-)

I wish there was a "Thank you for your entry" email. I submitted mine on Thursday at 2:22 pm, and I'm just so worried that it didn't make it for some reason. :s

I guess when you work a couple of weeks on your entry, you're bound to get paranoid.
